Hi, my name is Alecia. If you reached this page it is more than likely someone referred you or you simply stumbled across it, seeking healing. Healing for wounds so deep it is incomprehensible.
I was once a victim of childhood sexual abuse who became a survivor, who is now a thriver. My abuse began when I was 2 years old and ended when I was 12 years old. My abuser was a woman, who was my biological aunt, adopted sister.
I began my healing journey in 1996. I attempted to take my life twice. Once as a child at 10 and another as an adult at 21. After going through the medical, psycho-therapy and down right rebellion, I felt in my soul that I was missing something more.
Although my life experiences were grim at times, it was my faith that held me together. It was that, that I sought after healing my wounds biblically and it has been a life changing experience.
I consider myself to be a modern day Harriet Tubman for those who have been injured by the wounds of sexual abuse. My purpose is to take the hand of women and lead them through the fire and teach them how to have a personal relationship with Jesus. Especially women in leadership.
So many times we have stuffed our past down in hopes that it will never rear its head again. Well we know that isn’t true because it does.
It looks like how we speak to and treat those we love and those who are closest to us. It looks like self destruction, sexual sin, back-bitting, discord, jealousy, bitterness, resentment, un-forgiveness of self and others, and hatred, all wrapped up into one bundle of a hardened heart. The list could go on. . . but I am pretty sure you have identified with at least one.
I want you to know that we serve a mighty GOD! He is able to Redeem, Reconcile AND Restore our mind, body and soul so we can live the abundant life here on earth that HE promises us in John 10:10.
Know that when we surrender all to HIM we will see the fruit of the abundant life!
